Amos DAI Xianjing
is a photographer, documentary director, writer, storyteller, brand marketing communicator, creative director, arts & cultural management professional.
Amos Dai Xianjing(she/her) , born in Nanjing, China, lived and worked in Beijing and Shanghai for several years, and is now based in Boston. She is a photographer and documentary director, a writer, and a seasoned branding professional with experience spanning global fashion media and technology companies — all united by a focus on culture, social impact, and human connection. She received her B.A. in TV & Film Directing from Communication University of Zhejiang, expanded her management and business expertise through MBA studies at the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Arts and Cultural Management at Boston University.
In her artistic practice, Amos focuses on women’s rights, the relationships between humans, nature, and urban lives, as well as Buddhism Studies. Photography and writing are her primary modes of exploration. Her multi-disciplinary documentary project Women at Home, combining photography, a documentary series (premiered in 2022), and non-fiction writing (forthcoming in 2026), explores contemporary women living alone, captures global trends, and challenges traditional cultural norms. The project reflects her commitment to cultural storytelling, social engagement, and advancing equity through the arts.
At the same time, for over a decade, Amos has been developing a series titled Trees Whisper, presenting a dialogue and connection between herself and trees. This work serves as a cross-cultural meditation in nature, allowing her to continually experience the relationship between humans and the natural world. She is fascinated by the fleeting moment captured by the shutter and the eternity of the divine. In her other photographic series, photography functions as both a personal essay and cultural research; it serves as an ongoing channel connecting the present, the past, and the future.
In her corporate work, Amos specialized in integrating perspectives from culture, art, and creative expression into business strategy and brand communications. She has led innovative brand campaigns that strengthened brand ethos, bridging cultural narratives with long-term commercial impact, while also advancing CSR initiatives that create meaningful value for communities and stakeholders.
